A Greenwood Village-based homebuilder says it’s broken ground on six new developments in the Denver suburbs.

Century Communities Inc. (NYSE: CCS) all six should all be open for sales later this year. The developments include: Oak Street and Pearson Grove in Lakewood, Littleton Village in Littleton, Alder Village in Parker, Belleview Place in Aurora, and ParkView at Candelas in Arvada.

"We’re very excited to expand our new-home offerings in the metro-Denver area, particularly at a time when buyers face low inventory and stiff competition from others interested in purchasing," said Brian Mulqueen, president of Century Communities’ Urban Division, in a statement.

The homes begin in the low $300,000 price range (Oak Street) to the high $300,000 range (Alder Village).

Century Communities went public in 2014.

The company was one of only two Colorado companies to make the most recent Fortune magazine’s 100 fastest-growing companies list. Over the past three years, the company’s revenues increased 79 percent, earnings-per-share increased 51 percent, and its annual rate of return was 4 percent.

Last summer, it merged with San Jose, California-based builder UCP Inc.

It was founded in 2002 by brothers Dale and Rob Francescon.
